The interesting operator conversations happen at the conferences. Not in the keynote sessions, and rarely on the expo floor itself. They happen in the booth meetings booked weeks in advance, in the quiet hotel lobbies away from the main hall, and in the long dinners where leadership teams have time to think aloud about what they actually need to fix.
For operators considering serious engagement - multi-market entry, a turnaround, a CRM rebuild, a fractional CMO arrangement - face-to-face is materially better than video. The signals you read in person about how decision-makers actually think, what the internal politics look like, and where the real friction sits are difficult to surface remotely. Conferences provide compressed access to those conversations across the operator landscape.
